File Selection: AllCoolMusic claims that they have the "largest music & movie selection", including "over 12 million MP3 files". I was not able to validate this information, but of the 250 songs I searched for, I had a 100 percent success rate.
My search consisted of multiple genres including rock, hip hop, heavy metal, punk, country, gospel, classical, pop, jazz, "hard-to-finds", & modern music. I was also able to find many "local bands", that haven't made it big.
Download Speed: Although the website loaded slightly slower that some of its competition due to the flash technology, I was surprised how fast the download speeds were on their client. Once I became a member, most files downloaded in 30 seconds or less on a DSL connection.
Expect significant slowing if you are using dialup connectivity.
Sound Quality: After downloading over 250 songs, I have concluded that AllCoolMusic has exceptional sound quality. I burned several cds for the car, and downloaded mp3 files on iPod for my workout mix.
